Extended Easter Haul!

Hello everybody! I hope this post finds you well! I have another book haul for you today! :)

I received some money for Easter and instead of spending it on candy, which I would just eat and then be sad when it was gone, I got my fanny on BookOutlet and purchased some books. I'm quite happy with them.

I got a total of three books for around $15 (which is why BookOutlet ROCKS!).

I FINALLY got the rest of the LUX series by Jennifer L. Armentrout and I can't wait to have a bit of a marathon read of the whole series. I got the new bind-up edition of the third and fourth to match my copy of the first and second and of course I got the new copy of the fifth book, Opposition. So if you think about it, I really got four books!! :D

The next book I got was the third book in the Prep School Confidential Series by Kara Taylor. I'm kind of obsessed with this series and haven't seen it going around very much. But I hope that will change. Anyway, the book is called Deadly Little Sins.

So, that's it. I have a fun post planned for later on this week, but I will have my joint-review of the Silver Linings Playbook (Book/Movie versions) up sometime tomorrow!

I hope you are having a good weekend!

Type at you later!

Easter Haul!

Hello everybody and Happy Easter to all who celebrate it!

I was lucky enough to receive a few books for Easter from the Easter Bunny and my Aunt. I thought I would share the ones I got with you.

First off, from my Aunt I received two John Green books. I got Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns.

Then, from the Easter Bunny, I was lucky enough to get four books and a few makeup items.

The first book I got was the Maze Runner by James Dashner. I've heard mixed things about this, but I'm still excited to read it and to find out what the story is all about.

The next book that I got was Orange is the New Black by Piper Kerman. I'm so excited to read this. I love the Netflix series and I can't wait for the show to come back on. I think I'm going to pick this up next, but I'm not sure.

The last book I got, I'm so super duper excited for. I got City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. And this means, I'VE FINALLY FINISHED THE SHADOW HUNTER CHRONICLES SERIES!!!!! I'm so excited. I want to marathon the entire series eventually, but I'm just excited I've gotten this book!

I got one more bookish item. I got a bookmark from Books A Million that says, "Let Go and Let God". This is one of my favorite quotes. I'm going to try to find a picture somewhere. But if I can't, I'll post a picture from my phone.

The last thing I got for Easter was some makeup from E.L.F. cosmetics. I got one of their new smudge pots in Ain't That Sweet, a lipstick in Flirty and Fabulous, and a new liquid eyeliner in Jet Black
. I love the E.L.F. cosmetics liquid eyeliner and I've had mine for quite a while and I needed a new one. So, I was excited to find one in my easter basket.

I hope you all had a great Easter if you celebrate and I'll have a beginning of the week update up tomorrow.

There's No Shame in Buying Books.....

Hi guys! So today, I went book shopping. Nothing too drastic. Just finished up a few series that I have random books of. :)

Our closest book store is a Books-A-Million. I must say it doesn't have the best choices for older releases. It mainly has new releases, books that are movies, and popular titles. I have no problem with that, but sometimes you can get lucky!

Okay, so, here are the books I got.

I already owned Cinder by Marissa Meyer, and I wanted to update that collection, so I bought Scarlet and Cress.

I also finished my Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I had the first three and the last one, but was missing books four and five. So I picked those up!

The only thing about these books is that they are a different cover than what I already have. My other books are the ones with two people (who I can only assume are Rose and Dimitri! :P) on the cover. But, it's still the same story. So, I'm okay with that.

Next, I FINALLY finished my City of Bones series by Cassandra Clare. When I first ordered them, they were all paperback, same editions, ect., ect. But for some reason, the whole collection never came. So, I have been patiently collecting the remaining books in the series. Today, I picked up book number 1! It's kind of weird that I didn't have book number 1, but I checked that one out from the Library originally. So now, I have them all! Except The Bane Chronicles, but I will be picking that up ASAP! :D

The next two books I picked up, were by a total stroke of good luck. I was walking up and down random isles of BAM and the cover jumped right out at me. I found Wicked and Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire  WITH THE SPRAYED EDGES. FOR SEVEN DOLLARS. I don't think you realize how exciting this is for me. I'm obsessed with the play and soundtrack, so I'm interested in reading the story that inspired that!

I couldn't find a picture of Son of a Witch with the sprayed edges but above is the edition that I picked up!

The last book I picked up was not from BAM. It's from a library stand in my town. I'll have a post up soon about these library stands (most likely tomorrow because we are expecting more snow *rolls eyes*). :P
Anyway, I was able to find a first edition signed copy of The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. It was a great surprise.

I'm still planning on finishing the Harry Potter series before I pick any of these up, but as soon as I'm done with Harry Potter, I will be picking up Wicked!

I hope you guys are having a great week!

Cold Weather Doth Approach-eth?

Hi all! I'm currently bundled up under a blanket because it is -3 degrees where I live. And it's going to be freeeezing all weekend. So, I'm gearing up for a nice weekend under my blankies with some tea and reading some books!

This is some-sort of a, I guess, Friday Reads (on a Thursday!)/Library Haul. I have a homeschool teacher coming tomorrow, so I'm going to read as much as I can after she leaves.

Today, I took a trip to my local library. I picked up quite a few books. Six. I got six books. I doubt I will be able to read them all in my alloted two weeks, but I will be renewing them until I finish them up. I've picked up some rather hyped up books that I have yet to read and one new release (my library does a pretty good job at keeping up with new releases). I won't have a synopsis of these books, because I like to go into a book completely blind (I will have another post up explaining this soon!). Anyway, here are the books I picked up (and a link to the goodreads page of them, incase YOU would like a synopsis!)

The Silence of Six by E.C. Meyers

I'm not planning on reading all six of these novels this weekend. I hope to get through at least Silence of Six and possibly If I Stay. I may be adding Monday to my Friday reads, which is not typical. But, we are looking at several inches of snow for Monday and possibly no school, so I will be reading then as well. But I will let you know for certain on Monday! Talk with you all soon!

Oh! Here's what the weather looks like for the weekend where I am, if you're interested....

You may want to have a sweater handy!
